Free Childcare Breaks Barriers for Military Parents at National Transition Event
Free professional creche to be provided for Silverstone NTE visitors
Mission Motorsport’s National Transition Event partners with RAFAKidz
Service open to Armed Forces community with children aged 2-4 years
Parents who are planning to attend this year’s National Transition Event at Silverstone Circuit on Monday, 2nd March, will be able to take advantage of professionally staffed crèche services thanks to Mission Motorsport’s new partnership with RAFAKidz.
Armed Forces members thinking of visiting the NTE, who have children aged between two and four-years-old, will be able to entrust the care of their youngsters to the RAFAKidz staff in the Silverstone Wing Building – therefore enabling more members of our community to get involved in the event.
The tie-up with the RAFAKidz charity is a UK first and is designed to break down barriers which may ordinarily stand in the way of military parents attending gatherings such as the NTE. Now, parents will be able to have full engagement with the many businesses and organisations participating in the Silverstone event while enjoying the peace of mind of first class, professional childcare services.
Youngsters will be able to experience a safe, fun and supervised environment through the RAFAKidz staff who ordinarily work in OFSTED registered nurseries across the country which are on, or very close to, RAF stations. Don’t forget, the service is absolutely free-of-charge to NTE attendees.
Josie Mapes, Executive Director, RAFAKidz, said:
“We are delighted to provide creche services to parents attending this year’s NTE. Finding suitable childcare can be a real struggle for parents looking to attend events like this, so we hope our presence will give parents peace of mind, allowing them to fully engage in the event and all it has to offer, knowing their little ones are in safe hands and having a fantastic time with the RAFAKidz team.”
Session timings which are available for the RAFAKidz crèche, which will be located at IMC4, Silverstone Wing, are as follows:
Session 1 – O8.00 to 10.00hrs
Session 2 – 10.30 to 12.30hrs
Session 3 – 13.30 to 15.30hrs
Spaces are limited and must be booked in advance, children must be between the ages of two and four, and parents/carers must remain on-site at Silverstone at all times. Places can be reserved by visiting the Eventbrite NTE page here:
With the knowledge their young children are being professionally looked after, military Veterans and Reservists will be free to give their full attention to the tailored advice and career opportunities which are being showcased at the NTE to understand the journey to a successful civilian transition.
