Newsflash: Automotive event removes barriers for the Armed Forces community
Free Parking and Career Opportunities for Veterans at Automechanika Motorvate 2025
Veterans, Reservists, and serving personnel are warmly invited to attend Automechanika Motorvate 2025, a major careers and skills showcase taking place from 3–5 June 2025 at the NEC in Birmingham.
Motorvate is a not-for-profit initiative running alongside Automechanika Birmingham 2025, with a clear aim: to connect Armed Forces talent with meaningful careers in the UK’s evolving automotive industry.
As a show of support, the event organisers have confirmed that parking costs will be covered for all veterans, reservists, and serving personnel attending the event!
What’s on offer:
Full parking reimbursement for Armed Forces attendees.
A dedicated Armed Forces Covenant Signing Ceremony on 4 June, where leading automotive employers will formally pledge support to the Forces community.
Direct access to employers and training providers across technical, logistics, digital, and leadership roles.
Live demonstrations, career advice, and networking with leading industry professionals in the Ignite Arena.
A welcoming environment for those exploring new career pathways after service.
How the free parking works:
Collect a parking voucher on arrival.
Visit the five headline partner stands to have it stamped.
From 2pm each day, present your stamped voucher and Armed Forces ID at the kiosk in Hall 19 to receive your free parking pass.
Show the pass on exit and your parking is covered.
This is a unique opportunity for members of the Armed Forces community to explore the next step in their careers, meet supportive employers, and learn about pathways into the automotive sector — a growing industry actively seeking the skills and experience that veterans bring.
Registration for the event is free and now open.
