Sustainability. What? How? Where? We can help.
The terms Environmental Sustainability and Social Sustainability, or 'ESG' are banded about often. But what do they mean? How can we make a difference? And where do we start?
Maybe you want to:
• Leave the world a better place?
• Kick start your organisation’s work on sustainability?
• Showcase your sustainability initiatives?
• Leverage your organisation’s work for funding opportunities?
Mission Community have produced a toolkit to help answer these questions.
This toolkit is written for those working in Armed Forces Service Charities. It has been funded by the Veterans' Places, Pathways and People (VPPP) initiative under the funding bodies of the Invictus Games Foundation (IGF) and Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust (AFCFT).
But actually, the toolkit could be used by any charity in any sector. And will also be useful for SMEs in the commercial sector who want to make a start on sustainability.
The purpose of this Toolkit is to have really useful information in an easily readable format – sustainability can be an area full of acronyms and complexity. There are so many angles and avenues that this subject has gone down that there is a bewildering amount of information – the internet is awash with ‘helpful’ advice. What this document does is put relevant information all in one place; you can refer to it and have expert advice at your fingertips.
This toolkit is emphatically not Mission Community telling others how to do sustainability. That would be a stretch too far! It is a toolkit, full of ideas, case studies and lots of links to resources which will help those starting out on the sustainability journey. Think of it as a navigation tool.
This is such an important subject, and one that increasingly people see as relevant to companies, and to their day-today lives. At the end, just before the Appendices, is a list of key messages - drawn from multiple case studies and examples.
The toolkit is available to all at: New Environmental and Social Sustainability Toolkit Launched to Support Armed Forces Service Charities — MISSION MOTORSPORT
We commend it to you. Good luck in your sustainability journey and get in touch if you want to find out more.
